Intro

NASA’s contributions to the fields of aeronautics and space exploration are easily identified by anyone with a passing interest in those topics. However, less is known about how technological advances originating in NASA have made significant contributions to life right here on planet Earth. Many of the advances that have benefitted the average consumer come in the form of collaborations between NASA and private manufacturing corporations. Some have mainly industrial applications, but many of the benefits of NASA’s research are used in everyday life. This guide takes a look at some of the most notable contributions NASA has made to improving the lives of U.S. citizens, and the world.
