Welcome

With the current environmental, and man-made climate changes occurring, there has been a dramatic increase in the practice of sustainability. Whether this is backyard vegetable gardening or urban farming that includes chickens, vegetables, beekeeping, and rain collection, interest and practice is on the rise. (https://www.pbs.org/newshour/show/urban-beekeeping-rising-trend-major-cities). Bees are a necessary aspect for the sustainability of the ecosystem. With bee colonies on the decline in recent years, there has been a rise of small-scale beekeeping operations. This libguide is for those individuals who are interested in beekeeping, how bees impact our world, and what they can do on a personal level to help improve the current environment. We hope that this libguide serves as a starting point on your journy to self-sustainablility and/or helping improve the ecosystsem.
