The purpose of this Lib-Guide is to provide information on the local history of Raleigh, North Carolina during the Civil War and events that occurred as a result. The target audience of this Lib-Guide is anyone looking to enhance their knowledge of the local history of Raleigh during the Civil War. The core subjects of this Lib-Guide will focus on basic history, battles, important people, places, and events. The overall goal of this guide is to broaden the known local history of Raleigh during one of the most turbulent times in United States history.
