Scope and Introduction

Welcome to my LibGuide!

This subject guide is intended to provide resources for undergraduate students who are majoring in education or have an interest in the education field. Undergraduate students can access this guide for resources and tools that may help with their burning questions about the education system, or provide students with new information.

Education is one of the biggest issues address today in the world. This subject area is broad, but the Educational Tools and Resources Libguide is designed for the educator who would like information on a particular group they may like to work with in the future as teachers. All of these resources are easily accessible for all undergraduate students. Some resources are text-driven while others are web based. A combination of text and written resources will allow the student to choose a path of research that will fit their style of learning the best.

The LibGuide is broken up into five specific resource areas, these include: Articles, Handbooks and Resource Books, Web Resources, Journals and Dictionaries and Encyclopedias. Areas addressed (particular groups to work with as educators) are General Education, Special Education, Gifted Child, and Urban Children. These different groups are addressed for educators to have a better understanding on how to serve these students when they’re in the classroom, or placed with the teacher.

            Enjoy!
